Adult cat wellness consults include:

  • A thorough clinical examination, including oral examination to identify any dental issues.
  • Booster vaccinations (annual to triennial depending on risk).
  • Endoparasite (intestinal worm) control.

Mature
(7+ years)
Mature (7+ years)

As your cat ages it is important to continue with regular veterinary visits to identify diseases which may be present before any overt sign of ill health present. Blood tests and other diagnostic tests may be recommended as part of VetiVa’s routine annual wellness checks for older cats. Senior (11-14 years) or super senior (14+ years) cats will benefit from more regular veterinary checks and routine laboratory testing every 6 months.

Mature cat wellness consults include:

  • A thorough clinical examination, including oral examination to identify any dental health concerns
  • Booster vaccinations (annual to triennial depending on vaccine).
  • Endoparasite (intestinal worm) control.
  • Ectoparasite (flea and tick) prevention.
  • Heartworm prevention and, if appropriate, testing.
  • Nutrition and dietary recommendations.
  • Exercise and mobility assessments.
  • Routine laboratory testing and collection of a minimum database is highly recommended on an annual basis in mature cats. Additional testing may include blood tests (CBC, biochemistry), x-rays or ultrasound, blood pressure measurement, hyperthyroid blood test and urinalysis.
